Okay, my draft of this post was deleted. stupid me. :D We were quite worried with our reception venue because it did not escape Ondoy's wrath. Mark and I together with my parents paid Max a visit. It was sad to know that the main resto would have to undergo a major reconstruction. Bong, our contact person told us that the garden would be fully remodeled in November in time for our wedding in December. They are still fixing the fences of the garden. Mark took photos:

Mark and I were supposed to shoot in Escolta but we can't find time to go there and meet the owner of the building we are eyeing. We opted to scouting for an old house and look at what we found! The Alcuaz Mansion is perfectly situated in Balete Drive and was used for a number of old movies. More photos here:http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=113307&id=555493404&l=e58e78478

I'm posting Ms. Baby Alcuaz's number in case you're interested to shoot here too. :D 09163282529

This blog has been idle for some months now. I’m not so much into updating and I don’t know why. But I’m sure we’re busy with the preps and a lot has been bugging me lately. Like the accessory biz, which, I also haven’t updated in awhile. Anyway, around two weeks ago, Mark and I had our first prenup shoot at FEU. It was pouring and I wasn’t feeling well but we decided to push through with it because I don’t want to undergo the fuss of reapplying for a permit to shoot. Guj of Redsheep photography took these awesome shots. J Raechelle Bailon did my make up and Shasha, Raechelle’s stylist did my hair. The whole set is here: http://ricesanders.multiply.com/photos/album/39/MarkLiz_Prenup

I never thought that making a decision about THE RING is so easy to make. Took us a day to pick the supplier. :D Last Saturay while passing through the aisle from the LRT Gateway station to the mall, we passed by Suarez. Mark and I were with my mom and we sorted out some rings and inquired. Turned out they weren't very pricey. So Mark and I thought about it overnight and chose a style from their website so we can inquire again the next day. When we got there we asked how much the style costs in Platinum and gor really surprised that it was sooooo expensive so of course, we settled for white gold even if it was a wee bit expensive from our original budget. Mark agreed with the price. :D This photo is just a sample how it would look like, Mark's ring would be a little thicker, though. This is the style in expensive platinum that the sales lady let us took a photo of :

The ring was too big for my finger. :D

I keep wondering what theme we should have for the wedding. I was always bugging Mark about it but we can't come up with something. Then, what's obvious suddenly hit me. It's not really a theme maybe an idea but it helps to somehow organize a thought. Well, this is so true, our wedding is...

I've been back reading posts from W@W just now and as I do, I found a post from a fellow w@wie about Torre Venezia's promos. I texted them hoping I could some discounts even if i booked our rooms months back. I guess it's just my lucky day because they agreed to give me an upgrade or a big discount if i book again. I'm so happy!

Anyway, they also have this current promo wherein you can get a reservation for 3k on the first night, 2k on the second night and just 1k for the third night. that's a lot of savings. :)

Here, if you're looking for a nice place to stay in QC, visit their website, http://www.torrevenezia-quezoncity.com/. I did an ocular late last year and I could say that the facilities are good and the rooms look very comfy. :)

I got to talk to Francis Arcea David. For inquiries, you may contact him through his cell: 09285039035 or landline: 3

I saw this entry from one of the w@wies, Liz. It's an inspiring story. :)

When I was a little girl, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work.

On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage, and extremely burned toast in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his toast, smile at my mom, and ask me how my day was at school.

I don’t remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that toast and eat every bite! When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the toast. And I’ll never forget what he said: “Baby, I love burned toast.”

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his toast burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, “Debbie, your momma put in a hard day at work today and she’s real tired. And besides a little burnt toast never hurt anyone!”

In bed that night, I thought about that scene at dinner…and the kindness my daddy showed my mom. To this day, it’s a cherished memory from my childhood that I’ll never forget.

The Secret to a Lasting Marriage: Embrace Imperfection

A little part of me wants to buy a hairpiece and the bigger chunk wants to DIY. I wish I have the budget already to go to Divi and look for a big light pink flower I could use for my hairpiece and maybe some more for the shoes and the ento. Meanwhile, I saw these cute hairpieces at ban.do.

I've been eyeing these dresses for awhile now for the secondary sponsors and the bridesmaids. I'm also thinking of incorporating the black flower in the dresses.
